COVID-19 Updates

4/19/2020 Update

********In order to receive timely communication from Marina Bay Dental, please call or text us with both your email and cell phone number to 617-479-8080*********

To our dear patients,

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful Sunday.  I want to let you know that our team at Marina Bay Dental is thinking about you and sending you our best wishes.  It’s hard to believe this is our 5th week of treating only emergency patients in our practice.  Day by day, we will overcome this together.

For this week, I would like to share with you a video of me demonstrating proper handwashing.  So much has been said about the paramount importance of handwashing on staying healthy, but I haven’t seen much guidance on how to do so.  I hope this helps!

If you’d like to print a page of instructions to remind you of the handwashing steps, use this link https://washyourlyrics.com.  You can put in the title and artist of your favorite song and it will create your own handwashing poster set to the lyrics!

I wish you and your family patience, good humor, good health, and much love in the weeks ahead.  We’ve got this!

Sincerely,

Dr. Jenny Chong

3/24/2020 Update

We hope you are staying healthy and safe and finding ways to make the most of this time at home.

I would like to assure you that we are still here and able to take care of your dental emergencies on a limited schedule. Dentists are “essential service providers” under Governor Baker’s closure order and we are here for you. The Massachusettes Dental Society has asked offices to remain closed until April 6, but that is likely to be extended.

If you have a clear dental emergency (pain, trauma, facial swelling, gum swelling, broken teeth), please call the office at 617-479-8080 for directions on how to reach Dr. Chong. Otherwise, please leave a message and we will contact you as soon as we are able. You can also text your dental concerns to 617-479-8080, but please know that is the same as leaving a voicemail and is checked on a limited basis.

To schedule or reschedule an appointment, please leave a voicemail with your name, date of birth, and best days of the week and times of day to schedule your new appointment (ie, “I am most available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9am-12pm”).

Online scheduling is now available! You can now book an appointment any time, from any device.

Follow the link below or find the online scheduling tool on our website, under the Home tab. Choose the type of appointment you need, preferred provider, and see the list of available times. Once you’ve selected an appointment, you’ll get an email letting you know your appointment request has been submitted, and then another email when the appointment has been confirmed.

I hope that helps, stay well!

We look forward to seeing you again.

Warmest regards,
Dr. Jenny Chong

3/16/2020 Update

As our community grapples with the public health crisis, there is a new development.

The Massachusettes Dental Society has now recommended that all Massachusettes dental offices close for the next three weeks, from March 17-April 6, 2020. Over the next week, we will reach out to patients who have appointments that have to be rescheduled. We will also be setting up an online system to help you reschedule your appointments with ease.

In the meantime, we will still have a limited presence in the office. We will be checking voicemail, texts, and emails a couple of times a day. When you communicate with us, please be clear with your:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Phone number to reach you at
  • Date of the appointment you would like to reschedule
  • When you are most available for an appointment, ie. “Tuesday and Thursdays after 2PM”

I am still available to you if you have a clear dental emergency. Please call the office at 617-479-8080 and listen to the entire message for directions on how to reach me. Please DO NOT text emergencies to 617-479-8080.

For non-urgent matters, please communicate with us by phone, text, or email and we will respond as quickly as we are able. Please take good care of yourself and others.

Best wishes,

Dr. Jenny Chong
